Background: This thesis is based on the increasing number of mothers (using addictive substances), which are appearing in social services, particularly in the Authority For Social And Legal Protection Of Children Specificity of mothers using addictive substances requires a special approach by addictology services. It begs a question, whether such specifics as to meet workers of ASPLC in cooperation with these mothers. The aim of this thesis is to describe the specifics of the work ASPLC with these mothers. Other aims are to determine how the cooperation between the two sides takes place, whether and which problems can occure in cooperation with these mothers and describe the procedure for the removing of children of these mothers and the possible impact of abusing ilegal substances on the need for the children removing. Methodology: Respondents for the research were selected using the purposive sampling method. The research sample consisted 11 workers of ASPLC and three mothers using addictive substances). Data were obtained by using of a semi-structured interview. Data were prepared for the analysis by transcription and coding, for which I used elements of the cluster method. The amendment to the law on social-legal protection of children from the perspective of employees of socio-legal protection of children.

This thesis titled Amendment to the social-legal protection of children from the perspective of employees of social-legal protection deals with the social-legal protection of children in the Czech Republic, where in connection with the adoption of the amendment to the social-legal protection of children effective from 1st January 2013 saw a number of changes in the activities of the social-legal protection of children and the exercise of social-legal protection of children in general. In this thesis describes the most important changes that the Law on the social-legal protection of children and bring briefly outlined in this work also changes from 1st January 2014 will bring an amendment to the Civil Code, the issue of social-legal protection of children is closely related. The empirical part of the thesis interprets the opinion of respondents - professionals in the adopted amendments, interprets their needs and opinions of management on the governing bodies and the good social-legal protection abroad. A function of social and legal protection solving delinquent and hazardous behaviour of juvenile population in educator´s practise in the view of health educational intervention in Prague

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the role of the Children´s socio-legal protection authority in dealing with risk behavior of children and youth and to analyze methods and instruments used by this authority to maximize the effectiveness of interventions, which should eliminate the risk behavior of children that negatively influences their personality development. The thesis also mentions the legislative regulation, which represents the base for socio-legal protection. In the theoretical part personality factors as well as impacts of family, school and social surroundings, which contribute to the creation and continuation of risk behavior, are analyzed. The thesis then focuses on the problem of truancy, which belongs to types of risk behavior. In the practical part the thesis presents, what curators for children and youth claim about their cooperation with schools in solving children's truancy during compulsory school attendance, which family and school factors they find risky and whether they consider current legal and methodical setting to be sufficient. At the end, the thesis deduces from results implications and recommendations for education staff in schools, i.e. class teachers, workers in education counselling and school directors, to prevent (or at least to minimize) truancy and emphasizes the possibility to cooperate with authorities of children´s socio-legal protection, which can be established already, when the first signals of absenteeism occur or in case of other educational problems, mainly poor interaction with children's parents.
